| Some photos from the second South Cheshire Vintage Bus Running Day, which was held at Crewe on Sunday April 5th 2009. This year the action was more distributed around the town. Services were concentrated on the bus station, although there was a display of vehicles at the Heritage Centre, and another one on Oak Street car park.
Trips were offered to various destinations, though all I managed was two trips to Nantwich, one of which was extended to Bridgemere. Highlight of my day was riding on a former Barton Northern Counties bodied lowbridge AEC Regent – an experience not for the faint hearted ! The open-top ride from Crewe to Nantwich was also something to be enjoyed with hindsight, rather than at the time ! Yet again, I didn’t manage to get a ride on a former Crosville vehicle … |
